The East Baton Rouge Clerk of Court’s Office is now offering the availability of Birth and Death Certificates at our Downtown location in City Hall only. Certificates are available on a walk-in basis only. No appointment is necessary. Please note that we only have access to Death Certificates from June 2012 forward.

Under Louisiana law, birth records are strictly confidential until 100 years after the year of birth and death records are strictly confidential until 50 years after the year of the death.
